Providence Homes recently received the 2019 ENERGY STAR® Certified Market Leader Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for an unprecedented 10th year in a row (2010-2019). This award recognizes outstanding partners who have made important contributions to energy–efficient construction and environmental protection by building or verifying an outstanding number of ENERGY STAR® Certified Homes during the previous year.

What does this award really mean? By choosing an ENERGY STAR® Certified Home, you can help reduce your carbon footprint while also giving your family a clean, healthy and more efficient home. In 2018, throughout the Jacksonville area, 170 families chose Providence Homes, saving themselves money and energy. According to ENERGY STAR®, the total estimated savings on energy costs was $137,535.00 or $784.00 per household. The environmental equivalent of:

  • Eliminating the emissions from 53 passenger vehicles, or
  • Reducing CO2 emissions by 249 metric tons,
  • Reducing the consumption of 578 barrels of oil,
  • Growing 4,114 tree seedlings for 10 years
