How does a new home earn the ENERGY STAR designation?

To earn the ENERGY STAR designation, the home must meet strict energy efficiency criteria set by the US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) or the US DOE (Department of Energy).

What is a RESNET HERS Rating?

The HERS Index is the industry standard by which a home’s energy efficiency and performance is measured. A score of 100 indicates a new house is built to code. Providence Homes averages a 52.7 HERS Index based upon 324 closings in 2020 – 2021. The lower the HERS score, the more efficient the home is!
