New SucraSeal® spray foam insulation saves money – and the environment!

Categories: Energy Star | Posted: March 11, 2014

Providence Homes is excited to announce that we are using SucraSeal® polyurethane spray foam insulation under the roof decks of all of our new Aspiration & Pinnacle Collection Homes.  This new spray foam will provide our homeowners with years of quiet enjoyment, consistent comfort, superior energy savings, and a greener insulation alternative.

SucraSeal® is a safe, environmentally-friendly sucrose-based spray foam insulation that is fast becoming the choice of more and more homeowners nationwide. It effectively seals a home’s energy-robbing ceiling cracks and crevices by expanding to 120 times its sprayed-on mass, creating a tight, quiet, and comfortable energy efficient envelope. SucraSeal® provides the same insulation qualities of refrigerators and insulated coolers, helping to keep the desired temperature inside your home efficiently optimized, while saving you money on your utility bills.

SucraSeal® meets the USDA’s BioPreferred® program qualifications and has been awarded Energy Star® certification. This unique spray foam won’t shrink or settle, features a high R-value, and is VOC and formaldehyde free, and virtually odorless.

The new Monroe Model Home in Greenleaf Village at Nocatee is Providence Homes first ever model home featuring this new application, and the results are incredible! The Monroe received a 53 HERS Index score making it our most energy efficient Providence Model Home ever built! The estimated $139.00 per month total electric bill rating for a 4,198 sq ft home is further proof that a true luxury home can now be energy efficient!

Other advantages of using SucraSeal®:

  • Mutes excessive outside noise more effectively than other insulation types
  • Contains the highest bio-content in the industry which means less petroleum based content
  • It has built-in fire retardant properties that other foam insulations don’t, and it passes rigorous industry tests
  • Improved indoor air quality-less dust and allergens
  • Reduced air and humidity infiltration
  • Formaldehyde free

Providence Homes’s 2014 Home for Hope in Support of Hope International

Categories: Community Involvement | Posted: March 6, 2014

Providence Homes is excited announce its 2014 Home for Hope in support of Hope International. This year’s Home for Hope will be their new Juniper model, featuring 2,287 sq. ft., 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2-car garage with ceramic tile throughout the first floor, granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, and upgraded cabinetry. Even better, this year’s Home for Hope will be 100% Energy Star Certified. The Providence 2014 Home for Hope is located in Greenleaf Village at Nocatee on 360 Cameron Drive in Ponte Vedra, FL 32081, and will be move-in ready by April 30, 2014.

Since 1998, over 90 Homes for Hope have been built around the country, generating over $10 million in revenue for Hope International and providing tens of thousands of micro loans. More than 99% of all HOPE loans are repaid. Most of the loans, generally $100 to $500, are used to help people, usually women with children who have been widowed or abandoned by war or devastation, start businesses and begin to rebuild their lives. Examples include selling shoes or vegetables in an open market or purchasing sheep or pigs for livestock. With the high repayment rate, the $500 loaned to one person is available for another and another…which makes this program so successful and worthy of our support.

Hope International is a Christian faith-based 501(c) (3) non-profit organization working in 13 of the poorest, least-served countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean, focused on alleviating the many dimensions of poverty – physical, social and spiritual – through microenterprise development.

Providence Homes has built four previous Homes for Hope right here in Jacksonville. Along with the tremendous support and donations from their trade partners, Providence Homes has raised over $300,000 for Hope International since getting involved in 2002.

The Providence 2014 Home for Hope is listed for sale at $275,525.00 (MLS#707223). For additional information about this home contact Melissa Matthews at 904-337-5236 or visit our myprovidencehomes.com or visit ww.homes4hope.org
