JACKSONVILLE, FL –
Victoria Lakes is proving to be one of Providence Homes’
most outstanding new home communities. Since opening two
models last year, the homebuilder has sold almost 75%
of its initial homesites in the sleepy North Jacksonville
community’s first three phases.
Located on Yellow Bluff Road just three miles north
of Florida Route 9-A, Victoria Lakes is a wonderful
family community that is situated midway between downtown
Jacksonville and the Beaches, giving homebuyers wonderful
possibilities for shopping, dining and playing.
Amidst the community’s 13 lakes and lush natural
preserve, developers have plans for a swimming pool,
playground, and “tot lots” for younger children.
Starting in the mid-$160s, the community consists of
spacious lakefront, conservation, recreation and lake
cul-de-sac homesites upon which homebuyers can build
one of Providence Homes’ 18 flexible three- and
four-bedroom floor plans, which range between 1,573
and 2,964 square feet. The builder currently has 9 spec
homes being planned or under construction.
Two of those outstanding home designs, The Tavanier
and The Melbourne Bonus, each received Silver Awards
in their respective category in this year’s Parade
of Homes. Art niches, high ceilings, bay windows to
allow lots of light in, and arched entryways throughout
the 2,516-square-foot, four-bedroom, three-and-one-half
bath Melbourne Bonus model create a wonderfully open
environment. Homeowners will be truly thrilled to see
that so many of this model’s “luxuries”
are actually standard features.
“With homes like The Melbourne Bonus and Tavanier,
it’s easy to see why we have fewer than 30 homesites
left in the first three phases of Victoria Lakes,”
said Site Agent Anita McCreary. “Who could ask
for a better location?”
That is the same question asked by city planners, who
consider the North Jacksonville area one of the busiest
in Jacksonville, right up there with the southeastern
section of the city, near Butler Boulevard. The North
Jacksonville planning district is one of the city's
largest, comprising 22 percent of Jacksonville's 850
square miles. That makes it extremely attractive to
city officials, business people looking for a place
to invest, and potential homebuyers. Consequently, the
city is building schools and fire stations, and plans
have been made for an east-west connector road that
will bring traffic more directly to Interstate. The
city also plans to develop 11 commercial centers in
the region, including a series of seven village centers.
“The Dames Point area is growing steadily each
year, and we are so close to Jacksonville International
Airport, the Regency Mall area and the stunning jetties
of Huguenot Memorial Park,” said McCreary. “It’s
the greatest place to live in Jacksonville.”
