Jacksonville, FL –
Providence Homes by Bill Cellar and its trade partners
were recently honored by HOPE International - a faith-based,
non-profit organization - for their participation in
the 2005 "House for HOPE" project. This year's
HOPE house involved six times the charity support from
the builder and its trade partners.
"Providence Homes is our star HOPE Builder in
Florida," said Joel Anderson, Director of Development
for HOPE International. "Last year's HOPE house
was so fantastic. We wondered if Providence and its
trade partners could possibly do any better with this
year's house. The answer was a resounding 'YES'."
Last year's home, built in River Hills Reserve, was
valued at $395,000 and raised almost $100,000 for HOPE
International - about 25% the value of the home.
However, this year's "House for HOPE" project
shattered the 2004 donation amount. Proceeds from the
sale of the 2005 "House for HOPE" easily topped
last year's numbers. With a final selling price of $252,465,
the total dollar amount raised from the sale was $113,519
- nearly 50% of the home's value.
"The numbers really speak for themselves,"
said Anderson. "Providence was able to raise more
money this year with a house that was valued significantly
lower than its predecessor. It speaks volumes for the
builder and the trade partners and their sacrifices,
efforts, and commitment to make this project an overwhelming
success."
The Providence Homes 2005 “House for HOPE”
is a spacious 2,285-square-foot, five bedroom, three
bath, bonus plan design in Stonebrier at OakLeaf Plantation.
Providence Homes and all the trade partners involved
in the "House for HOPE" project generously
donated time, effort, and materials to keep the home's
actual building cost at a minimum. Upon completion,
the home was sold and all proceeds were donated directly
to HOPE International. Individual donations were accepted
as well; The Hutson Companies highlighted the HOPE International
charity effort with their gracious gift of $10,000.
The trade partners that participated in the "House
for HOPE" project included: 106.5FM The Promise,
Advanced Disposal, American Insulators, Atch Aluminum,
