JACKSONVILLE, FL –
Just one day before the children of Duval and Clay counties
dreaded seeing the school buses that would take them
back to the classroom, the team members of Providence
Homes and Providence Realty smiled as their bus
arrived to take them on a citywide tour of the homebuilder¹s
communities.
The full-day tour provided the team members that work
at the company's Sunbeam Road headquarters and its various
model homes to socialize, see where each other spends
their workday, and familiarize themselves with each
Providence community. The team visited the model homes
in OakLeaf Plantation, Eagle Harbor, River Hills Reserve
at Fleming Island Plantation, Royal Pines at World Golf
Village, Victoria Lakes, South Hampton, Windsor Chase,
Northglen, Queen's Harbour, Marshwinds, Shirley Oaks,
and Westgate, Sawmill Pointe, Pine Chase, Creekside
and Pine Crossing in Julington Creek Plantation.
"The trip was very informative and a great morale
booster," said Roger Roman, a Site Agent for the
Julington Creek neighborhoods."It's a great reminder
for site agents that we [Providence Homes] are more
than the neighborhood that we work in."
The move reflects the holistic approach to business
management that Bill Cellar, founder and president of
Providence Homes, was exposed to while attending graduate
school at the University of Virginia. Cellar learned
the philosophy that successful companies operate more
effectively when departments better understand how the
individual units function, interact, and fit within
the central organization.
